Milburn Line hasn't been in the country for almost 20 years, let alone San Diego.
Luckily, international experience is an ideal asset for the new executive director of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice (IPJ) at the University of San Diego's Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies.
Line was selected after a yearlong search to find the second executive director of the eight-year-old institute. He partially attributes his attaining the position to his leadership style and team approach.
"I'm a big advocate of having the team be the mechanism," said Line, "because it's the team that really makes it work.
