Philip Forgione

Philip Forgione, chief executive of San Diego Medical Services Enterprise, was proud when the city of San Diego was recognized recently by the San Diego County Taxpayers Association with a Watchdog Award for the "cost-effectiveness and efficiency" of the public-private partnership.
He also sees the honor as validation of something he already knew: that few other emergency medical service organizations in the country can compare in scope and scale.
