In July, Joe Balla helped Lee & Associates acquire Retail Properties Group, a company for which he was president. Balla and his team are yet to switch offices. A move to upgraded facilities is scheduled for February.
But the company has already embraced Lee & Associates philosophy about how to run a commercial real estate brokerage firm, adopting the business’ “owner-agent” model of management.
The move is a departure from conventional commercial brokerage practices. But Balla said that the technique is going to help the company grow at unprecedented rates and retain some of the area’s most qualified real estate professionals.
