Martin Reed, founder and CEO of Sequoia Solar, has a green thumb.

An organic gardener for 30 years, Reed's passion for environmental causes and sustainability goes back to when he was a teenager.

He has also spent his life cultivating business startups in commercial real estate development and in the retail sector.

He currently owns or has owned everything from 7-11s and fast food restaurants to Laundromats, and is now restoring a small town in British Colombia with the help of San Diego investors.
