In 1985 two former colleagues of John S. Murk Engineers decided to start their own company because they thought their experience and friendship could provide a better service.

Since then, Rod Bradley and Ron Holloway have made BHA Inc. into a successful small land planning, civil engineering and survey company financially, but also a winning one in the community.

"Our philosophy is we don't want to get to large ... so we can keep a good handle on (our company) and that every project that goes through this company will have a principal involved in it one way or another," said Bradley, who is in charge of the planning division. "So that (a client) doesn't get handed off to someone they have never met ... it's really personal."
