Tom Fat

Thomas N. Fat, an attorney, is the president of Fat City Inc., a family company that owns and operates restaurants in San Diego and Sacramento. He is also a general partner in Frank Fat Properties, a private real estate development company. Tom is a past chairman of the board of directors of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau and a past president of the San Diego Restaurant Association.

Honored with numerous awards from the business community, he is currently advisory board chair of the Asian Business Association and Steering Committee member on the San Diego Downtown Master Plan. He is presently on several other civic boards of directors, including the San Diego Film Commission and the Little Italy Business Association.

In 2000, Fat joined the board of governors of The San Diego Foundation, believing that the foundation, through its philanthropic endeavors, offered the best vehicle to enhance the quality of life for all San Diego citizens.
