Pothier, a New Jersey native and self-described "frustrated Mets fan," joined the Padres' front office in November 2002 after working as the club's outside counsel while an attorney with the San Diego law firm Coughlan, Semmer & Lipman LLP.
During her time in private practice, Pothier litigated a diverse field of complex business cases and white-collar criminal cases.
Pothier oversees all legal matters for the Padres, including litigation, sponsorship agreements, player contracts, operational issues and Petco Park development issues. She also helps manage the human resources department and all employee relation issues.
