Jon Hellings is more than just an official with the Association of Corporate Counsel. To many attorneys in San Diego, he is the face of the organization.
"Jon's image is now synonymous with the local chapter," said Steven Spector, general counsel for Arena Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ARNA) and a former ACC-San Diego president.
"When I think of the local chapter, I think of Jon."
Hellings became the first executive director of the San Diego chapter in 2004 and has seen the group grow from 400 members to more than 600. He's also helped increased the group's educational and social offerings from 27 events a year to 75.
