Paul Tryon

In the last 16 years, the San Diego County residential building industry has experienced shifts in activity levels, implementation of numerous construction regulations and a change in how communities and homes are planned and built.

During that same time span, one constant in the local building industry has been the presence of Paul Tryon, who since the early 1990s has served as the CEO of the Building Industry Association of San Diego (BIA), a nonprofit trade association that represents the interests of 1,450 member companies.
