Health care reform has been a hot-button issue this year, and Steven Escoboza, president and CEO of the trade organization Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial Counties (HASD&IC), has been busy helping hospitals -- and even elected officials -- make sense of the pending changes.

In addition to its educational outreach this year, HASD&IC has led consolidation within the public and private health care delivery systems and has worked with hospitals to help improve health care quality and patient safety.
