In a leap of faith, Charles La Bella and Thomas McMamara, two former government prosecutors, opened their own boutique business litigation firm in 1992. La Bella & McNamara specializes in white-collar criminal defense, corporate compliance and business litigation.
La Bella worked for more than 16 years as a federal prosecutor in the Southern Districts of New York and California, as well as Washington, D.C. During that time he received a number of awards including the FBI Director's Award for Distinguished Service to Law Enforcement and the Justice Department Director's Award for Superior Service.
La Bella & McNamara is an increasingly relevant player in an era of corporate crackdowns, and one of the team's specialties is helping local businesses hone their skills for internal investigations.
