Robert Anselmo is senior vice president for San Diego's largest commercial developer, McMillin Commercial, which is active in Southern California and Central Valley in the retail, office and industrial markets.
Anselmo's responsibilities include monitoring acquisitions, building progress and sales disposition/leasing; ensuring successful business plans; and communicating to senior management regarding the activity of the division.
Anselmo believes that being able to control all aspects of a building process from land acquisition to development and building is what makes McMillin both different and successful.
"We're a little bit of a full-service shop," Anselmo said. "If we look at a piece of property and it has a commercial and residential element, we can analyze it and not be dependent on selling one of those particular pieces of property to a third party ... That's the fad right now ... being able to do both is key," he said.
