From a career as both physician and entrepreneur, Dr. Drew Senyei has moved seamlessly into the venture capital arena.
As venture capitalist, Senyei is currently managing director heading Enterprise Partners Venture Capital's life science practice. He has also served on more than 25 public and private boards. In January 2006, Senyei was named one of the Top 100 VCs in Forbes magazine's 2006 Annual Midas List.
On the medical front, Senyei holds 20 patents in health care-related products and services, including the only biochemical test available that predicts preterm delivery; it has been used by over 1 million women worldwide.
His philanthropic efforts largely complement his business ones. Senyei founded Equity in Education at The Bishops School to encourage entrepreneur stock donations for educational programs, is a member of the advisory board for the UCSD School of Medicine and serves as president of the San Diego Opera.
