But the consulting firm has a concrete -- and significant -- impact on San Diego's business community. It works with more than 100 local businesses and the major players in San Diego's military community, including Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, or SPAWAR, the Navy's port commanders and Camp Pendleton, and employs more than 830 people locally, according to David Karp, a senior vice president who oversees the firm's SPAWAR account.
