Ten years ago, if someone had asked Yan Skwara about growing product, his first thoughts probably would have been of earnings, revenue or capital.
Now his mind drifts to long fields thick with asparagus and aloe vera, and trucks heavy with tomatoes.
As a former investment banker, the Los Angeles native spent more than 20 years on Wall Street helping companies raise money through stock and debt offerings, among other services.
Today he is putting that experience to use on his own company, U.S. Farms (OTC: USFI), a diversified nursery and farming operation based in Point Loma which he has positioned to grow both financially and agriculturally.
