Twelve years after founding his contracting business, Randy Signore, president of Countywide Mechanical Systems Inc. maintains close ties with the military.
During his eight-year stint as a machinist's mate in the U.S. Navy, Signore received a high-caliber education in the workings of heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), boilers, plumbing and electrical systems, he said.
Signore's time in the Navy gave him the experience he needed to start his career as a contractor and the knowledge of the military necessary to work on government projects. Signore's company provides HVAC, plumbing and electrical services for both new construction and renovations. The government is one of the company's largest clients.
