Colleagues of Cameron "Jay" Rains say he uses his clout as a partner co-chair with DLA Piper not only on behalf of his clients but also to benefit San Diego.
Rains concentrates in corporate finance, venture capital, strategic partnering, SEC registered public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. His clients include big names in the restaurant, technology and life sciences industries.
Rains played a critical role in the project to remodel the Torrey Pines South Course, helping rally civic support, encourage donors and bring in the $3.5 million that privately funded the project. It was ultimately so successful that San Diego was awarded the 2008 U.S. Open, an event expected to generate $100 million for the city.
He has been selected to appear in
The Best Lawyers in America for 2006 and, also in 2006, The Daily Transcript named him among San Diego County's Top Attorneys.
