San Diego trial attorney Dennis Schoville likes fighting for the "little guy" so much that he never thinks about retirement.
The co-founder of the boutique litigation firm Schoville & Arnell certainly qualifies. He has been practicing law for 37 years and piled up a countless number of victories.
"I could have retired 10 years ago," he said from his downtown office, a converted mansion that once served as the home for San Diego's mayor. "For me, one of the benefits of being in a boutique practice is taking on cases that you want to take.
"I've handled many cases where it wasn't about how much money was involved but (about) being able to come in and equalize the case for someone; to get them a good resolution where I never could have taken that case in a large law firm because it really wasn't profitable."
