Mr. Jim Herrick

What if you needed to keep track of every customer who walked through your door, from his specific interests to his contact information, now and for the rest of his life? What if you wanted to make sure he could network with other customers? And how might you encourage him to come back to your business, even years later, to make a meaningful contribution?
Such is the challenge faced by San Diego State University's Alumni Association and its executive director, Jim Herrick. With 9,000 students graduating from SDSU every year, and some 200,000 living alumni, the nonprofit organization works to serve an ever-evolving constituency.
