Isabel Hall

Isabel Hall did not plan on working in real estate. As a psychology major at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia, she originally intended to be a teacher.
When her husband was stationed in San Diego as a naval officer, it was difficult landing a teaching job, so he suggested she give the real estate "thing" a try. She enrolled in classes and got her license within months.
More than 30 years later, the general manager of McMillin Realty, one of the Corky McMillin Cos., has made a career of what she once considered a temporary job.
