PEARL HARBOR (Sept. 2, 2012) -- Sailors aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) man the rails while Mercy prepares to pull into Pearl Harbor. Mercy is making a port call in Pearl Harbor to drop off several partner nations and other crew on its way back to San Diego after the completion of Pacific Partnership 2012. Now in its seventh year, Pacific Partnership is an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission U.S. military, host and partner nations, non-governmental organizations and international agencies designed to build stronger relationships and disaster response capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
