Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Directors, Otay Water District (District), will be received for the 850-3 RESERVOIR EXTERIOR COATING & UPGRADES at the office of the District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004, until 3:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, and at that time bids will be publicly opened and read.
The general scope of work includes:
Performing all operations and furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for coating the exterior of the 850-3 steel reservoir and structural upgrades including, but not limited to, level indicator replacement, new tank penetrations, roof vent replacement, modify roof safety support system, and all other work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents.
A Pre-bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Otay Water District. The engineer's estimate is $280,000. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained through Mayer Reprographics, via their website, http://www.mayer.com or via phone, 619-295-4112. The amount paid for the Contract Documents is not refundable. ALTERNATE WATER SOURCE FEASIBILITY STUDY

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Rainbow Municipal Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified civil engineering firms for the Alternate Water Source Feasibility Study.
The intent of the study shall be to assess the feasibility, including costs and funding sources, of a parallel water system for domestic water supply, and utilizing “alternate” water such as Untreated Metropolitan Water District water, local groundwater or reclaimed water, thoroughly evaluate alternative water source and analyze the pros and cons of the sources, develop high-level action plans for obtaining the more likely sources, analyze the possible funding sources and staging of a parallel system.
