NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Notice is hereby given that the Purchasing Department, First Floor, of the San Diego Unified Port District will receive sealed bids at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, until 2:00 P.M. on the the 10th day of February 2005 for:
SPECIFICATION NO. 2004-41 - DRAWING NO. 2085
MAINTENANCE PAVEMENT REPAIRS
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
The Work will include the following items of Work in the three identified locations (Shelter Island Anchorage Lane parking lots, Rental Car Road, and Embarcadero Marina Park parking lot): remove and replace asphalt pavement, grind and overlay existing asphalt pavement, install vehicle detector loops, crack seal, slurry seal, signage and striping, install wheel stops, traffic control, and water quality protection.
The magnitude of this work is in the range of $400,000.00 - $460,000.00.
The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, Classification A or C-12 at the time the contract is submitted.
Bids will be opened in public at or about that hour at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, all as more particularly contained in Document No. 48175 on file in the office of the Clerk of the District. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the date set for bid opening.
A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on January 26, 2005, in Conference Room 3 at the District Administration Building.
Plans and specifications are available for download on Port of San Diego website, www.portofsandiego.org. Plans and specifications may also be purchased for $10.00 per each set on or about January 12, 2005, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding District holidays, from the Purchasing Department, San Diego Unified Port District, P.O. Box 120488, San Diego, CA 92112-0488, or picked up in person at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, Telephone Number (619) 686-6320. Shipment of plans and specifications by Federal Express is available at BidderÕs expense (please provide a completed airbill with your request). The purchase price and cost of shipment are not refundable. One set of plans and specifications will be made available by the District to local plan file services.
In the public interest, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
