Bids shall be made in accordance with the prevailing hourly rate of per diem wages for this locality and project as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1770 et seq
., a copy of which is on file with the City Engineer at 8130 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, in accordance with the provisions of Labor Code Section 1773.2, which prevailing hourly rate of wages is made a part of this notice by reference as though fully set forth herein.
The City Council of the City of La Mesa, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Sweetwater Union High School District, Chula Vista, CA, acting by and through its governing board, will receive sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services for: Project: RFP NO. 90-2194-GP - DESIGN/BUILD - CHULA VISTA ADULT
Description of Work:
Description of Work: To provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary in order to finalize design and construct site and landscape improvements to the Plaza at Chula Vista Adult School, located at 1034 Fourth Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91911 Contractor License Requirements: A, B, or C-27
Obtaining RFP Documents: Project Scope, Instruction to Proposers, General Terms and Conditions, forms, and concept plans may be obtained in CD Format on or after January 4, 2010 at the District Planning Office.
Each proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Proposer and name of the project for which the proposal is submitted to the District at the Purchasing Department, 1130 Fifth Avenue, Chula Vista, California 91911-2896 on or before February 1, 2010 before 1:00 p.m. Proposals received after this date and time shall be returned unopened. Proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud on February 1, 2010 after 1:00 p.m.
Each proposal must conform and be responsive to the RFP Documents, CD's of which are now available and may be obtained on or after January 4, 2010
at the District Planning or Purchasing Departments, 1130 5th Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91911-2896. Winning proposer will be selected by an evaluation committee based on the following:
1. Total cost to the District - (40 points)
2. Suitability of final design - (35 points)
3. Past project experience - (20 points)
4. Schedule for completing construction - (5 points) A mandatory job walk meeting has been scheduled for January 18, 2010 @ 10:00 are to review the Project scope, proposal requirements and the Project's existing conditions. The pre-proposal meeting will take place at the Chula Vista Adult School, located at 1034 Fourth Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91911. Representatives of the District will be in attendance to address any questions. All attendees shall report to the administration office. Proposals for which a representative is not present at the job walk will not be accepted.
