NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work listed below. Plans and specifications can be obtained from the Purchasing and Contracting Department, Contracting Division, 1200 Third Avenue, Suite 200, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified.
A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. Bids/proposals from small businesses, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and local firms are strongly encouraged. Contractors are encouraged to subcontract and/or participate in joint ventures with these firms. The City of San Diego Land Development Review Division has prepared a draft Negative Declaration for the following project and is inviting your comments regarding the adequacy of the document. Your comments must be received by February 4, 2008 to be included in the final document considered by the decision-making authorities. Thomas Jefferson School of Law: A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to amend CUP No. 98-0453 to allow an increase in on-site parking, which would allow for an increase in the total student enrollment and an increase in the amount of students that would be allowed to be on campus at any one point in time. The CUP would allow for an increase in parking spaces from 196 spaces to 242 spaces, which would allow for no more than 285 students to be on campus at any one point in time and a total enrollment of no more than 794 students. The site is located at 2120, 2121 and 2147 San Diego Avenue in the Uptown Community Planning Area.
