ELECTION OF HSB OFFICERS FOR 2009
Description: Nominate and elect officers for 2009 (Chairman, Vice-Chairman)
CLG GRANT: APPROVAL OF COVER LETTER FOR THE JULIAN REPORT
Description: Discussion of the report and approval of the cover letter to Supervisor Dianne Jacob (District 5).

CAMP LOCKETT FIRE STATION
Description: HSB members will discuss their field visit and discuss the addition of a permanent garage to house a fire engine on this listed site.
PATTERSON/PRATT/GILES HOUSE
Description: The Patterson/Pratt/Gilles house (aka Barnett house) was previously listed on the County's Historic Landmark List and had been rezoned with an “H” designator. A request to rescind the historic designation was approved by the HSB on December 17, 2001. Since then, the house and associated barn were moved. The Lakeside River Park Conservancy would like to explore the possibility of reinstating the historic structures' landmark status.
The following Presentation has been placed on the agenda:
David Lewis, civil engineering designer in Julian and author of: “Last Known Address”, a book about the Julian Cemetery. David Lewis is the fourth of five generations of my family to live in Julian. In addition to working as a civil engineering designer in Julian, Mr. Lewis also works part time for the South Coastal Information Center creating maps and drawings for the Nate Harrison and Whaley House site investigations under Dr. Seth Mallios.

NOTE: The Historic Site Board function is to act as an advisory body to both the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. Decisions made by the Historic Site Board are in the form of a recommendation and are not the final decision. An opportunity will be provided for you to speak at this hearing regarding any of the above items.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF JULIAN WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS; PROJECT No. 1009274; (BID No. 3572).

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on FEBRUARY 17, 2009, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents will be available after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 and may be examined or purchased for the sum of $20.00 (including tax) per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $425,000 to $470,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. DVBE participation is encouraged as a matter of policy.
