SUBJECT: Sewer Pump Stations 6 & 7. COUNCIL APPROVAL OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOs. 46-106.0 and 46-602.5. The project proposes relocating and enlarging Pump Station No. 7 and replacing its mechanical and electrical components, constructing two, six-inch force mains, installing a new eight-inch gravity line, rehabilitation of an eight-inch gravity line and replacing an existing eight-inch main with a 12-inch gravity main. The project includes installation of five new manholes, converting existing Pump Stations 6 and 7 into manholes, abandonment of 150-feet of eight-inch sewer main, removal of 284 feet of existing eight-inch sewer main, and installation of a new underground vault next to Pump Station 7. A total of 1,726 feet of sewer and water main installation (including rehabilitation) would be associated with the project. The project is located along North Harbor Drive between "B" Street Pier and Broadway Pier, within the Centre City Community Plan Area. Plans and specifications can be obtained from the Engineering and Capital Projects Department, Administration Division, Executive Complex, 1010 Second Avenue, Suite 500, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified.
A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO CHANGING 6.98 ACRES LOCATED ON LOT 10 OF MARK II INDUSTRIAL PARK, WITHIN THE MIRA MESA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, IN THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, FROM THE AR-1-1 ZONE INTO THE IP-2-1 ZONE, AS DEFINED BY SAN DIEGO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION?131.0602; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.?O 10936 (NEW SERIES), ADOPTED OCTOBER 5, 1972, OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO INSOFAR AS THE SAME CONFLICTS HEREWITH.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER II, ARTICLE 4, OF THE SAN DIEGO MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING DIVISION 1 BY AMENDING SECTION 24.0103; BY AMENDING DIVISION 9 BY ADDING SECTION 24.0912; AND BY ADDING DIVISION 18, ENTITLED ?CONTRACTING PUBLIC AGENCIES,? AND BY ADDING SECTIONS 24.1801, 24.1802, 24.1803, 24.1804, 24.1805, 24.1806, 24.1807, 24.1808, 24.1809, 24.1810 AND 24.1811, ALL PERTAINING TO THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
This ordinance contains revisions to the Retirement System as a result of the enactment of section 149 to the City Charter, which allows public agencies to participate in the System?s Trust Fund by contract with the Retirement Board, subject to the approval of the City Council.
The ordinance amends the Municipal Code to establish procedures for public agencies to participate in the Retirement Fund and for the administration of the separate retirement plans by Retirement?s Board of Administration
The ordinance provides that a public agency participating in the System?s Trust Fund and its employees are responsible for all costs associated with its participation..
This ordinance contains a notice that a full reading of this ordinance is dispensed with prior to its final passage, since a written or printed copy will be available to the City Council and the public a day prior to its final passage.
The ordinance shall be effective upon the approval of the Membership of the Retirement System pursuant to a vote of such Members, but in no event earlier than 30 days after its adoption.
