NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS---
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Diego will receive sealed bids until 2 pm on FEBRUARY 12, 1998, at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Bldg. 11, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123 where bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Project is CONSTRUCTION OF JAMACHA/CAMPO ROAD IMPROVEMENTS; ACTIVITY NO. 1C6016 (BID NO. 80103). Work consists of road widening and includes earthwork, placing aggregate base, asphalt, concrete, asphalt concrete dike, drainage pipe and rock slope protection, constructing concrete retaining wall, drainage inlets, pipe inlet, cleanouts, headwalls, curb, curb and gutter sidewalks, cross gutter and drainage ditches, constructing masonry retaining walls, constructing and reconstructing fencing and guardrail, water line construction, traffic striping removal, placing painted and thermoplastic striping and marking and reflective pavement markers, traffic signal installation and modification, street light installation, traffic control, erosion control and water pollution control. The work is located in the vicinity of Rancho San Diego. Estimated price range is $2,000,000 to $4,000,000.
Bid documents with plans & specifications may be examined and/or purchased for $28.00 (non-refundable) per set at the County Operations Center, Cashier, 5555 Overland Ave, Bldg. 11, San Diego, CA 92123. Make checks payable to County of San Diego. Mail service is available to bidders outside a 30-mile radius of the County Operations Center at an additional cost of $6.00 per set of documents.
Additional sets of plans may be obtained by placing a request with the Contract Specifications Engineer at (619) 694-2823, and at an additional cost of $17.00 (including tax). Only complete sets of plans will be sold. Two working days shall be allowed for the printing of plans. No refund for the cost of plans will be made.

NOTICE TO BID---
The San Diego Housing Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for phase II of various improvements at University Canyon Apartments located at 2052-2095 Via Las Cumbres, San Diego. Sealed bids will be received at the Commission office below until Monday, February 16, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. (PST), at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond. No filed sub-bids will be accepted. A pre-bid conference will be held Tuesday, February 3, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. (PST) at the Commission office below. A site visit will immediately follow the pre-bid conference. Bid packages may be purchased for a $40.00 non-refundable deposit at the Commission office below.
