THE SAN DIEGO UNIFIED PORT DISTRICT
("the District") is soliciting proposals from suitably qualified organizations to provide management and technical services to implement the District's strategic information systems and data communications plan. The scope of work will include assisting the Program Manager with implementation of eleven major projects, including the following: network infrastructure, document systems, management information systems, on-line purchasing, process re-engineering, data warehouse, asset and contract management, operational systems (marine operations and airport), GIS, Internet/Intranet, and police systems.
The Professional Services Agreement, if awarded, will include the following support services: assisting in implementation of the eleven major projects, quality assurance, building awareness and project acceptance, and assistance in process re-engineering.
Responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) are due no later than 5:00 p.m. PST, Tuesday, February 27, 1998 and should be mailed to: Purchasing Department, San Diego Unified Port District, P.O. Box 488, San Diego, CA 92112-0488. Alternatively, the proposals may be hand delivered by the same time and date to: Purchasing Department, 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101.

It is the policy of the San Diego Unified Port District that certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of District contracts. CERTIFIED DBEs WITH QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND TO THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
