The San Diego Community College District will receive sealed Bids for the purchase of
City College LRC Audio-Visual Equipment
Bid #03-09

Each bid shall be submitted on a form obtained from the Purchasing and Contract Services Department, 3375 Camino del Rio South, Room 270, San Diego, CA 92108; shall be sealed and deposited in said office on or before 3 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2003, and will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time and place.
(Correction) A mandatory information session/walkthrough with regard to this bid will take place at 10 A.M., Thursday, January 30, 2003. Questions submitted in writing by noon, Tuesday, January 28, 2003, will be answered at this session.
The San Diego Community College District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT, will receive up to, but not later than 2 o?clock p.m. of the 8TH day of April, 2003, sealed bids for the award of a contract for the:
TECHNOLOGY AND
DISTRIBUTION CENTER
AT MIRAMAR COLLEGE

Bids shall be received in the office of the Owner in Suite 310 at the SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT, 3375 Camino del Rio, South, Suite 310, San Diego, California, 92108 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which are now on file and may be obtained after January 21, 2003, at the Facilities Management Office of the Owner at the above address at a cost of $150 for each set of documents so obtained. Additional $100 non-refundable mailing fee. Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $ 25,000.00 , the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.*
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The lowest responsive bid will be determined solely on the lowest base contract bid. Even if alternate bids are sought by the District, the lowest responsive bid will be based solely on the lowest base contract bid.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request at the San Diego Community College District, Facilities Management, 3375 Camino del Rio, South, Suite 310, San Diego, California, 92108.
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: B.
A payment bond must be filed for a contract involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000 (Civil Code section 3247[a]) and may be required for contracts involving smaller expenditures at the option of the Owner.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of SIXTY (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
