NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Diego will receive sealed bids until 2 pm on FEBRUARY 20, 2003, at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Bldg. 11, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123 where bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Project is RAMONA STREET AND MONTICITO ROAD IMPROVEMENTS; ACTIVITY, NO. R90435, (BID 30127). Work consists in general of road improvements to the southeast quadrant of the intersection of Ramona Street and Montecito Road. The project will widen the east side of Ramona Street, provide a concrete bus turn-out on the south side of Montecito Road and construct concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk joining existing improvements at each end. The work includes earthwork, placing aggregate base and asphalt concrete, constructing concrete bus turn-out, concrete cross gutter, curb, gutter and sidewalk, reconstructing chain link and wrought iron fence and gates, providing temporary chain link fence, removing painted traffic stripe, painting pavement marking, adjusting manhole cover, providing temporary portable concrete washout, erosion control, temporary gravel bags, fiber roll and inlet filter roll, providing project identification sign and traffic control.
The cost of construction is estimated to be from $150,000 to $200,000. The Contractor shall possess a California contractor?s license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, or a Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor.
Contract Documents, including Plans, Schedules, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $15.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11 (MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. Make checks payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30_mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $3.50 per set of documents.
Full-size plans may be obtained by placing a request with the Contract Specifications Engineer at (858) 694-3193, and at an additional cost of $0.50 (including tax) per sheet. Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. Two working days shall be allowed for the printing of sheets requested. No refund for the cost of full-size plans will be made.
Full-size plans will not be sent to full-size plan holders when plans are revised and issued as addenda unless re-ordered. Only revised reduced plans will be issued as necessary with addenda. Full-size plans will contain only the revisions made to the plans at the time of issuance.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Diego will receive sealed bids until 2 pm on FEBRURY 18, 2003, at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Bldg. 11, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123 where bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Project is FIREARMS TRAINING CENTER PARKING LOT REPAIR (BID NO. 30128). Scope of work consists of site grading, electrical parking lot lighting, irrigation and utility lines, curb and asphalt surfacing, stripping, signage, and minor concrete flat work around simmunitions building and related areas. Engineer?s estimate is $750,000. California Contractor?s license requirement is either Classification A or B.
