The San Diego Unified School District will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services for:
LOCKER REPLACEMENT AT GOMPERS SECONDARY SCHOOL
Mandatory site visit Tuesday, February 1, 2005, starting at 1:30 p.m., at 1005 47th Street, San Diego, CA 92102. PLEASE SEE BID FOR DETAILS. (Bid No. C45-56-KA)
Bids will be received by the District at the Maintenance and Operations Center, 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, California 92111, on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 2:15 p.m., at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Each bid shall be in accordance with specifications, plans, and other contract documents now on file at the Contracts Management Office. Each bid shall be submitted on a bid form furnished by the District. Bid forms and other pertinent documents may be obtained from the District Contracts Management Office between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Bid documents will not be faxed.
Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to the statutes of the State of California, the director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this type of work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder.
It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom this contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the said specified rates to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract
The San Diego Unified School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of any bid, or to waive any irregularities, or informalities in the bids, or in the bidding.
Attention is called to the fact that a list of proposed subcontractors must be submitted with the bid.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
FOR TITLE AND ESCROW SERVICES

Notice is hereby given that the San Diego Unified School District of San Diego, CA (District) is soliciting written qualifications from firms desiring to provide title and escrow services to the District. The scope of work intended for interested firms includes the proposed acquisition of approximately 50-75 parcels of land for a new middle school and other miscellaneous real estate transactions. Such work will require preliminary title reports, escrow services, title insurance, and litigation guarantees. The selected firm will be required to have available personnel who have been successful in providing escrow and title services to public agencies. This process will create a list of qualified firms available for use during the next 24 months, with a third-year option.
The RFQ package is available through the Maintenance & Operations Department via email. To request a package, please email your request for package #012405, including your name, firm name, address, phone and fax information to Kim Abrams at kabrams@ sandi.net. Contact phone number is (858) 627-7106. RFQ responses must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2005. RFQ responses submitted after this date and time may not be accepted. The District reserves the right to reject any and all submissions and to waive any irregularities.
