A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Sealed bids will be due onFebruary 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Prevailing Local Time, unless otherwise amended, at Metropolitan Transit System, Procurement Dept. 1255 Imperial Avenue, Suite 1000, San Diego, California 92101. Bids received after that time or at any other place other than the place stated herein will not be considered.
MTS hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26) will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
This project is subject to a capital assistance grant between San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “DISTRICT” will receive up to, but no later than, TWO O'CLOCK PM (2:00PM) on the 25th day of January, 2012 the required prequalification documents for the “Central Plant, Field House and Stadium Improvements and the Corner Lot Projects”.

The Prequalification submission date has been changed from January 11 to January 25, 2012.

The Prequalification submittals will apply only to the specific projects listed above and the trade packages noted in “Attachment A7” of the Notice to Contractors Calling for Prequalification Documents No. 102.12. They shall be received in the office of the Program Manager, at Southwestern Community College, located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Room 1688, Chula Vista, CA 91910.

Each firm must conform and be responsive to the prequalification documents, copies of which are available now and may be obtained at www.buildswc.com.

OTAY WATER DISTRICT
ADVERTISEMENT TO BID

Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Directors, Otay Water District (District), will be received for the 30-Inch Potable Water Pipeline in Hunte Parkway at the office of the District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004, until 2:00 PM local time, on January 31, 2012, and at that time bids will be publicly opened and read.
The general scope of work includes:
Performing all operations and furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the construction of approximately 2,239-feet of new 30-inch steel potable water pipeline and appurtenances in Hunte Parkway between Proctor Valley Road and the entrance to the Salt Creek Golf Course in the City of Chula Vista, California and all other work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on January 17, 2012 at Otay Water District. The engineer's estimate is $1,250,000. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained through Mayer Reprographics, via their website, http://www.mayer.com or via phone, 619-295-4112. The amount paid for the Contract Documents is not refundable. Technical questions regarding the Contract Documents should be referred to the District's Construction Project Manager, Daniel Kay, at (619) 670-2247.

ALTERNATE WATER SOURCE FEASIBILITY STUDY

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Rainbow Municipal Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified civil engineering firms for the Alternate Water Source Feasibility Study.
The intent of the study shall be to assess the feasibility, including costs and funding sources, of a parallel water system for domestic water supply, and utilizing “alternate” water such as Untreated Metropolitan Water District water, local groundwater or reclaimed water, thoroughly evaluate alternative water source and analyze the pros and cons of the sources, develop high-level action plans for obtaining the more likely sources, analyze the possible funding sources and staging of a parallel system.
