NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Board of Education, hereinafter referred to as the District will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 p.m. on January 17, 2008, sealed bids for the award of contracts for the following:
STUDENT CHARTER BUS AND SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Bid No. 4B-2008
Such bids shall be received at Poway Unified School District Purchasing Department Office (Building K), 13626 Twin Peaks Road, Poway, CA 92064 and shall be opened at the stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the Information for Bidders, the Specifications, and all other documents comprising the contract documents. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained in the Poway Unified School District Purchasing Department at the above address or by calling (858) 748-0010 x2128.
A bidders conference will be held on January 9, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and bid requirements. Potential Bidders are to meet at Poway Unified School District at the address shown above for the conference in the Safety and Training Classroom (Building P). It is recommended that all bidders attend this conference. Please call (858) 748-0010 x2128 to confirm your attendance at the prebid conference.
The District intends to award contracts to responsive and responsible bidder(s) for the services described above. Because it is known that the lowest bidder may not be able meet all needs of the District on any given date/time, qualified contractors will be awarded contracts and will be given opportunity to provide trips in the order of their ranking that will result from the bids submitted by responsive and responsible contractors.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or to reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

ORANGE LINE SUBSTATION REHABILITATIONS,
FLETCHER TRACTION POWER SUBSTATION PROJECT
LRT-1142100

The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work, in general, as follows:  installation of a traction power substation and rehabilitation of three operating stations, including overhead catenary system work, coordination with SDG&E, and miscellaneous civil work. Supplemental work may include substation isolation switch replacement and connection at multiple locations along the Orange Line system. The Engineer’s Estimate is $2,100,000. Bids must be submitted for the entire work. The amount for bid comparison shall be based on the Schedules A+B+C+D (total bid). SANDAG reserves the right to award Schedule A only or any combination of schedules. A prebid meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at SANDAG. The point person for this project is Matt Britten (619?699?7335, mbr@sandag.org). Questions must be addressed in writing to Matt.
  The IFB package (plans, specifications, and bid forms) may be secured only at SANDAG at the above address, attention: Louise Torio, at a cost of $35. Make your check payable to SANDAG. If shipping is requested, you must furnish your firm’s FedEx account number against which shipment is to be arranged. Ask for the Orange Line Substation Project (LRT-1142100) IFB package. IFB packages may be reviewed at SANDAG and/or the Contracting Opportunities Center (619?285?7020) located at 4007 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 210, San Diego, CA.
  Bids must be received by 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at SANDAG, on the 7th Floor, attention: Louise Torio. Bids arriving later than 2:30 p.m., or at a location other than 401 B Street, 7th Floor, will not be considered.
