As a property owner, tenant, or person who has requested notice, please be advised that the Civic San Diego (“CivicSD”) Hearing Officer will hold a hearing to consider the following permit applications:

1. Mission Brewery - CUP No. 2010-46A
An application by Dan Selis to allow live entertainment and an extension of hours for the tasting room for Mission Brewery, an existing brewery located at 1441 L Street the East Village Neighborhood of the Downtown Community Plan (DCP) Area.

2. 17th and Imperial - CUP No. 2012-42
An application by Steve Bick to allow a surface parking lot to be located at 1701 Imperial Avenue in the East Village Neighborhood of the DCP Area.

This activity is covered under the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the San Diego Downtown Community Plan, Centre City Planned District Ordinance, and 10th Amendment to the Centre City Redevelopment Plan, certified by the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency (“Former Agency”) on March 14, 2006 (Resolution R-301265 and R-04001, respectively) and subsequent addenda to the FEIR. The FEIR is a “Program EIR” prepared in compliance with State CEQA Guidelines Section 15168. CivicSD staff has concluded that the proposed activities including the addition of live entertainment and dancing and a surface parking lot are within the scope of the development program described in the FEIR and that the environmental impacts were adequately addressed in the FEIR; therefore, no further environmental documentation is required under CEQA.

The decision of the CivicSD Hearing Officer is final unless appealed to the CivicSD Board of Directors. In order to appeal the decision you must be present at the public hearing and file a speaker slip concerning the application or have expressed interest by writing to the Hearing Officer before the close of the public hearing. The appeal application may be obtained at the CivicSD Planning Department, 401 B Street, Suite 400, San Diego, California, 92101. The appeal must be made within ten (10) business days of the Hearing Officer's decision. If the Hearing Officer decision is appealed, the decision made by the CivicSD Board of Directors is the final decision.

If you wish to challenge either CivicSD's or the City's action on the above proceeding in court, you may be limited to addressing only those issues you or someone else have raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or written correspondence to CivicSD at or before the public hearing.

This information will be made available in alternative formats upon request. To request an agenda in alternative format or to request a sign language or oral interpreter for the meeting, call the Project Planner listed above at least five working days prior to the hearing to insure availability. Assistive Listening Devices (ALD's) are available for the meeting upon request.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE BE ADVISED, the Governing Board of the Grossmont Union High School District will hold a public hearing on October 11, 2012. At the hearing, the Board will consider a proposal to retrofit all T-12 florescent lighting to an energy efficient T-8 or T-5 lighting. The current T-12 lighting will no longer be manufactured after December 31, 2012. In addition to the utility cost savings, SDG&E is offering an incentive rebate to perform this work by the end of this year.
The Governing Board will hold the hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting on October 11, 2012, beginning at 6:00 p.m., held at 924 East Main Street, El Cajon, CA. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting if they desire to address this issue.
