NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools/San Diego County Office of Education; San Diego County, California, hereinafter referred to as the “County Office,” will receive up to, but not later than 10 o'clock a.m. on the 30 day of October 2008 sealed bids for the purpose of:

Such bids must be received by the Purchasing Supervisor, Internal Business Services Section of the County Office, IN ROOM 503, 6401 Linda Vista Road; San Diego, CA 92111 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice, the Information for Bidders, and the Bid Specifications. Copies of the bid documents may be attained at the above address.
The County Office reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding process.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for SPRING VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION; PROJECT NO. 1006572; (RFB 3354).

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on NOVEMBER 14, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on OCTOBER 30, 2008 at the SPRING VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER, 8735 JAMACHA BLVD. SPRING VALLEY, CA 91977 (THOMAS GUIDE PG. 1291, A4). Contract documents may be examined or purchased for the sum of $20.00 per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131. Call 858-537-2505 for availability of plans and specs. Contractor license requirement shall be General Engineering, “A”, or General Contractor, “B”. Cost estimate of construction is $1,100,000 and $1,350,000 for the base work. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. A goal of three percent (3%) has been established for this project in accordance with Board of Supervisor's Policy B-39A.
