The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CAMPO PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS; ORACLE PROJECT NO. 1016992; (BID No. 5789).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 270, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on NOVEMBER 27, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available to be downloaded, free of charge, from the Department of Purchasing and Contracting BuyNet website at: http://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov.
The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or a Classification B - General Building Contractor. Work to be done consists in general of furnishing and installing a metal pavilion, concrete walks, concrete curb-in-gutter, asphalt driveway, various picnic equipment, lodge pole fence, landscape and irrigation.

The project is located at 976 Sheridan Road, Campo, CA.

The cost of construction is estimated to be from $180,000 to $200,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. DVBE participation goal of 3% is encouraged. NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY DECISION TO APPROVE
AN APPLICATION FOR EMISSION REDUCTION CREDITS BY THE
SAN DIEGO AIR POLLUTION
CONTROL DISTRICT

The San Diego Air Pollution Control District hereby gives notice that in accordance with Rule 26.0 of the District's Rules and Regulations, the Air Pollution Control Officer has made preliminary decision to approve an application for emission reduction credits submitted by Kyocera America, Inc. This application was for the shutdown of four natural gas fired internal combustion engines, located at 8611 Balboa Ave., San Diego, CA 92123, used for cogeneration operation. This shutdown has been evaluated to create 16.7 tons/year of actual emissions reductions for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and 7.6 tons/year of actual emissions reductions for volatile organic compounds (VOC).
The District has determined that these reductions are real, surplus, enforceable, quantifiable and permanent when all conditions imposed by the District are complied with, and therefore the credits will be classified as "Class A Emission Reduction Credits". These credits are transferrable in whole or in part, and are eligible for use as emission offsets pursuant to all District rules and regulations.
The evaluation of this application is available for review at the Air Pollution Control District, 10124 Old Grove Road, San Diego, CA 92131. Please refer to Application No. 2012-APP-002110 on all correspondence regarding this project. Written comments concerning the District's proposed action may be submitted for a period of 30 days commencing October 31, 2012, and ending on November 29, 2012.
