The magnitude of this work is in the range of $1,400,000.00.
The bidder shall possess a valid California State Contractors License, classification B
at the time the bid is submitted. The Contractor shall also be certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Renovation Firm as defined by 40 CFR 745, Subpart E § 745.89 - Firm Certification at the time the bid is submitted.
In addition, the contract work includes removal and disposal of asbestos containing building materials. Bidder is not permitted to perform any asbestos related work unless bidder possesses a California State Contractor's License and is certified pursuant to Section 7058.6 of the California State Business and Professions Code. If a certified subcontractor is used, the subcontractor's license and certification number shall be submitted by the bidder within the Bid Submission Documents.

Sound attenuation improvements may include, but are not limited to, replacement of windows and exterior doors, finely detailed, field-executed finish carpentry, added insulation and improvements to add air conditioning, ventilation, and electrical systems. The work will include the demolition and modification of existing construction to install new windows and doors and, in some cases, may require temporary weatherproof closures.This project includes special treatment for Potentially Historically significant units. Contractors wishing to bid this Project must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years successful experience in residential sound attenuating projects, specifically working on Potentially Historic homes, or a minimum of five (5) years successful experience in residential historic renovation projects of equal scope.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS
FOR FHWA FUNDED PROJECTS
The County of San Diego Department of Public Works invites qualified Consultants to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to provide Construction Management Services on an As-Needed Basis for FHWA Funded Projects. Projects are public works and subject to prevailing wage requirements. Consultant will be required to provide technical assistance on an as-needed basis for construction management of public works improvement projects involving road and bridge construction. Consultant shall provide construction support services including responses to contractor requests for information and design conflict resolution. The County may award up to one contract from this Qualifications Based Selection. Awarded contract shall not exceed $999,999 per year for a term of up to five (5) years each. Specific work will be assigned via task order. Actual execution of task orders will be at the sole discretion of the County.
