NOTICE OF ACCEPTING CONTRACTOR BIDS TO PROVIDE GENERAL CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR NEW FIRE STATION.
The Deer Springs Fire Protection District invites interested contractors to submit sealed bids to provide general contracting services for the new Hidden Meadows Fire Station #3. Bids will be accepted by contractors holding a valid California “B” General Contractor License.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site on November 14, 2006 at 10:00am. The project site address is as follows:

CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM (CRS)
APPLICATION

The County of San Diego Department of Public Works invites qualified Consultants to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to provide Consulting Services for the Community Rating System (CRS) application to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). County projects fall under prevailing wage requirements. The County of San Diego intends to award one (1) contract for an amount not to exceed two hundred sixty thousand dollars ($260,000). Consultant services shall be awarded by Qualification Based Selection. Contract award is projected for January 2007. Public Disclosure of Gifts and Campaign Contributions is required for contract award. SOQs must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the following address:

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for ASPHALT CONCRETE RESURFACING AND CULVERT REPLACEMENT, ROAD MAINT DIVISIONS 1 & 2 (RFB 1655). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on November 22, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contractor shall possess, at the time the Contract is awarded, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor (Buynet commodity code 721030) or Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor (Buynet commodity code 721317). Work to be Done consists in general of placing asphalt concrete resurfacing on various roads and culvert replacement at various locations in the unincorporated area of San Diego County. The work includes installing reinforced concrete pipe of various sizes, installing bituminous coated corrugated steel pipe arch (21" x 15" and 28" x 20"), constructing concrete headwall, wingwall, constructing cleanout, installing rock slope protection, placing concreted rock slope protection, placing asphalt concrete, replacing asphalt concrete surfacing, placing asphaltic emulsion (fog seal), repairing distressed pavement, cold planing roadway surface, cleaning and sealing random cracks, adjusting manhole covers and survey monument riser rings, placing pavement reinforcing fabric and asphalt concrete dike, painting traffic stripes and pavement markings, constructing shoulder backing, installing pavement markers, and reconstructing inductive loop detectors, providing portable changeable message sign, providing traffic control, preparing water pollution control program, and providing water pollution control. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $4,000,000 to $4,400,000. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $21 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Department of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111, San Diego, CA 92123. Make checks payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30 mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $5.00 per set of documents.
