THE CALIFORNIA CONSTRUCTION AUTHORITY (CCA) will receive sealed bids for Del Mar Fairgrounds - Sewer Force Main Replacement - C0722X.409. Proposals shall specify a total price that covers all materials, labor, and sales tax to complete all work shown or described in the plans and specifications. Project will include providing new HDPE sewer force main from existing Pump Station 1 south to city of Del Mar sewer system. The force main will cross under the San Dieguito River channel by proposed horizontal directional drilling.
Estimated project cost is $500,000.00
Bids will be accepted only from contractors with a contractors license classification of A, B or C36
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on November 18, 2008 - 11:00 a.m. at the Del Mar Fairgrounds - Board Room -2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. - Del Mar, CA 92014.
Contractors selected shall pay prevailing wages for the specified trades employed on this project.
Bids will be received up until 2:00 p.m. - December 4, 2008 at the offices of the Del Mar Fairgrounds - Board Room - 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. - Del Mar, CA 92014-2216 - Phone: (858) 775-1161 ext2614 at which time and place all bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud.
Proposals shall cover all work shown, specified or indicated. Work and/or materials not specifically detailed shall be in conformity with the best practices of construction. Construction is to conform with conditions outlined and with the subject plans and specifications. These documents are available for inspection and/or for purchase on November 12 , 2008 at the offices of Del Mar Fairgrounds - Board Room.
A non-refundable fee of $50.00 will be charged for each set of plans and specifications. Checks shall be made payable to "California Construction Authority".

No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 45 days after the bid-opening date. CCA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received.
NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: State Law requires that a "Five-Percent Preference" (up to a maximum of $50,000) be given to bidders who qualify as a "small business." Questions regarding the preferences approval should be directed to the Office of Small Business & Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Certification (OSDC) at (916) 375-4940. A verified Small Business Preference Application or certification from the OSDC, must be completed to be considered for the five-percent preference.

SEDC is currently seeking a qualified Manager of Projects and Development to assist with the development and implementation of specific community redevelopment programs. The Manager of Projects and Development oversees and manages the daily operations of the Projects and Development Division. This individual must possess strong communication, written skills and have the ability to prepare and administer the division's budget.

A Bachelor's degree in planning, public administration, architecture or closely related field is required. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Santa Fe Irrigation District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the District, will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 P.M on December 4, 2008, sealed bids for the award of a contract for:
VIA DE FORTUNA WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT (J-904)
The work generally includes replacement of approximately 4,200 feet of 12-inch water main and appurtenances, including approximately 2,200 feet of temporary highline.
Bids shall be received in the office of the Santa Fe Irrigation District, 5920 Linea Del Cielo, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067, telephone number 858-756-2424, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the Contract Documents and all plans, specifications, and any other documents pertaining to the Project, one copy which is now on file and may be reviewed after November 4, 2008, at the District Office at the address listed above. All bid documents, plans, and Addendums will be available on the SFID website at www.SFIDWater.org. A mandatory pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday November 18, 2008 to review the Project scope, bid requirements, and the Project's existing conditions. The pre-bid meeting will take place at the District's office at 5920 Linea Del Cielo, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. Please call 858-756-2424 to confirm your attendance at this meeting. Representatives of the District and consulting engineers will be present to answer any questions bidders have. Bids will not be accepted from any bidder who did not attend the mandatory pre bid meeting. Bidders will sign a certificate of attendance at mandatory pre-bid meeting, which shall be submitted with their bid.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request at the District's Office, at the address listed above.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license throughout the duration of the Contract. The license required for the Project is Class A.
Award of Contract: The District shall award the Contract for the Project to the bidder submitting the lowest bid as determined from the base bid alone, and is deemed responsible by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
