Submit bids to the Sweetwater AuthorityÕs Richard A. Reynolds Desalination Facility, 3066 N. Second Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910. Estimate: $2,494,000
The work required: The fabrication and installation of approximately 2,578 linear feet of 36-inch I.D., welded-steel, cement-mortar-lined, dielectric-tape-wrapped, and, mortar overcoat water main; provide and install 3,324 linear feet of 16-inch PVC water main; and provide and install 2,035 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water main, including related appurtenances and abandonment of existing facilities.

EMC CLARIION 300 NETWORKED STORAGE SYSTEM

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) invites your firm to submit a sealed bid for the purchase of an EMC Clariion 300 Networked Storage System to include installation, configuration, and hardware and software maintenance services. The EMC solution will provide storage area network for the following servers: (1) SQL 2000, (1) Exchange 2003, (1) Windows 2003 File Server (1) HP 5470, HPUX 11.11 Oracle database, (1) HP 5470, HPUX 11.11.Oracle ERP, (1) Windows 2000 Networker 7.2 Back-up server.
The cost for these items is estimated to be in the range of $75,000 - $125,000. The contract period of performance is three years for hardware and software maintenance. The project manager is Dan Bossert (619-557-4525, daniel.bossert@sdmts.com). Questions should be addressed in writing to the project manager. The last day for questions is December 2, by 5:00 p.m.

YARD TRACTION POWER SUBSTATIONS PROJECT
LRT-11088 & 11421

The work consists, in general, of work on two (2) separate traction power substations: (a) Traction Power Substation No. 2 (TPSS-2) presently exists at the San Diego Trolley, Inc. (SDTI) trolley maintenance yard; and (b) Traction Power Substation No. 5 (TPSS-5) is an existing substation, presently stored near the maintenance yard and will be installed on a concrete pad in the yard. In general, refurbish TPSS-2 work consists of replacing the dc contactors with new dc feeder breakers and modifications to the control circuits. TPSS-5 work in general consists of constructing underground traction power facilities, a concrete pad, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables required to install an existing Traction Power Substation (TPSS -5) in the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Yard. The work includes reconfiguring some existing underground and overhead traction power cable distribution systems, installing new ductbanks and cables, connecting existing and new positive and negative power feeder cables to the existing Yard Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS), installing temporary jumper cables, interfacing with the utility companies, testing and commissioning, and procuring all materials and performing all other work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Project LRT-11088 & 11421 Plans and Special Provisions. SDTI maintenance staff will provide temporary OCS jumpering arrangement to the successful contractor to make minimum interruption to yard operation during construction.
The engineer's estimate is $720,000. A prebid meeting will be on Tuesday, November 29, at 2:30 at SANDAG.Ê The project manager for this project is Chip Finch (619-699-1931 or cfi@sandag.org). Questions relating to the project should be addressed in writing to the project manager.

The fee must be paid by check or money order (no cash or credit cards). Make your payment out to SANDAG.
