The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND SAFETY LIGHTING SYSTEM AT ALPINE BLVD./SOUTH GRADE RD./EAST VICTORIA DR.; PROJECT No. 1012217; (BID No. 3404).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on NOVEMBER 21, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. Contract documents will be available after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, NOVEMBER 3, 2008 and may be examined or purchased for the sum of $15.00 (including tax) per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131.
The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, or Classification C-10, Electrical Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $235,000 to $250,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. DVBE participation is encouraged as a matter of policy.
