Description: The Marie Schumann-Heink & Hubert Guy Residence is a one-story single-family home designed in a Swiss Chalet architectural style by noted architects William Henry Wheeler and Robert Halley Jr., in 1916 for Marie Schumann-Heink and Hubert Guy at the request of world Opera Diva Madame Ernestine Schumann-Heink for her daughter Marie who was to marry Mr. Hubert Guy, a prominent poultry rancher in El Cajon. Note: This item was continued from the November 21, 2005 meeting.
¥ HSB Procedure: Information Required for Landmarking Applications.
Description: One of the HSB goals for 2005 was to develop requirements for landmarking to provide potential applicants with the necessary information that is needed for the Board to make decisions. After several revisions, this procedure is proposed to be adopted.
The following PRESENTATION will be given:
¥ Mr. Clint Linton, with the Santa Ysabel Band of Diegue–o Indians, will talk about his experiences as a Native American archaeological monitor at the Kenwood Avenue Department of Public Works project. This is Mr. LintonÕs first experience as a monitor for a County of San Diego project.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for OAKOASIS RANGER RESIDENCE; PROJECT NO. 1004972 (RFB 1023). This project includes site preparation and installation of one Hallmark Model 27-1735, 1620 square foot pre-manufactured home including footings, utility hook-ups, 2-car garage, water tank, septic tank and leach field, concrete flatwork and minor road improvements. References of experience are being requested at time of bid.
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on JANUARY 10, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on DECEMBER 19, 2005 at the project site, Oakoasis Open Space preserve, 12620 Wildcat Canyon Road, Lakeside, CA 92040 (Thomas Guide Pg 1212, E2). Contract documents may be examined or purchased for the sum of $25.00 per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting. Contractor license requirement is classification "B", General Building Contractor with the appropriately classified subcontractors, or classification "C-47", Manufactured Housing Contractor. Cost estimate is $95,000 to $120,000. Bid security _of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for SPRING VALLEY OUTFALL SEWER REHABILITATION, RFB 1061. Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Ave, Ste 1111 (bldg 11), San Diego, CA 92123-2149, until 2 pm on Dec 21, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. An inspection of the project construction area is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Dec 8. Contractors are to assemble at the entrance to the Purdue Water Treatment Plant at the southern end of Lakeview Avenue (Thomas Guide 1291-A5). Because of restricted site access, the inspection on December 8, 2005 will be the only opportunity during the bid period for Contractors to inspect the project construction area. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. Work to be Done consists in general of furnishing and erecting a two span, 180-foot long by 7-foot wide, prefabricated steel truss bridge and constructing a 30" ductile iron sewer line placed on pipe cradle supports on the bridge. The project includes earthwork, including rock excavation, constructing concrete abutment and bent footings and concrete stairs, furnishing and erecting prefabricated steel bridge bent, constructing manholes, placing a temporary sewer by-pass system, protecting existing utilities, constructing chain link fencing and cable railing, preparing a water pollution prevention program and implementing water pollution control measures. The project is located in the vicinity of La Presa. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $1,000,000 to $1,500,000. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $21 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Department of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11 (MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111, San Diego, CA 92123. A set of full-size project plans (21 sheets) may be obtained at the Department of Purchasing and Contracting, referenced above, at an additional cost of $10.50 per set. Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. Full-size plans will not be sent to full-size plan holders when plans are revised and issued as addenda unless re-ordered. Only revised reduced plans will be issued as necessary with addenda. Full-size plans will contain only the revisions made to the plans at the time of issuance. All prices include tax. Make checks payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30 mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $5 per set of documents and $6 per set of full-size plans.
