BALBOA PARK GOLF COURSE - CLUBHOUSE AND PARKING LOT - PHASE II (H135849)
The City of San Diego (City) is requesting proposals from highly qualified architectural and landscape architectural firms for consultant services for Balboa Park Golf Course - Clubhouse and Parking Lot - Phase II (H135849).
It is the policy of the City to provide equal opportunity in its architectural and landscape architectural professional services contracts. Toward this end, proposals from small local businesses, disadvantaged businesses and disabled veteran, women and minority owned businesses are strongly encouraged. Prime consultants are encouraged to provide subconsultant opportunities or joint venture with these firms. SUMMARY SCOPE OF SERVICES
Phase II of the project involves the completion of full construction documents for the new clubhouse and site plan, to be based on the Preferred Master Site Plan as provided in Phase I of the project. Requirements for Phase II are as follows: Preserve the architectural style/design as developed in Phase I: a contemporary interpretation of California Ranch Style which complements the existing historical clubhouse. The overall layout of the site plan and building locations developed in Phase I cannot be changed extensively. The layout must be per that developed in Phase I of the project or as directed by the City. The overall layout of the building floor plans (spatial planning) cannot change extensively. The layout must be per that developed in Phase I of the project or as directed by the City. The overall materials and design/elevations of the buildings cannot change extensively. The materials, design and elevations must be per that developed in Phase I of the project or as directed by the City. Comply with all historical requirements for the existing historical clubhouse building. Complete all construction documents for the work required. Drawings shall include (but are not limited to): architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, landscape architectural, golf course architectural, drainage and erosion control plans, etc. as necessary to complete the plans per the City's requirements. Process plans through the City's Development Services Department (DSD). Process necessary permits through the City's DSD. Complete any environmental work (biology, etc.) not fully completed in Phase I, but which is required for Phase II. All design elements included in Phase I of the project shall be incorporated into the construction documents for Phase II or as directed by the City.
