SUBJECT:California Terraces Offsite Sewer Connection. COUNCIL APPROVAL for implementation of a sewer line to be constructed in three phases to serve the Princess Park residential development (South Phase of California Terraces Vesting Tentative Map). The alignment for the proposed sewer line would be located under existing roads. Phase I of the sewer alignment begins at the intersection of Old Otay Mesa Road/Airway Road near the northeast corner of the Princess Park subdivision. Phase II is located under Old Otay Mesa Road between the southwest corner of the Princess Park subdivision and a connection with an existing 10-inch sewer line that is situated just north of the San Ysidro Middle School entrance. Phase III would replace a portion of the existing ten-inch sewer line. This Phase would begin at the terminus of the existing 10-inch sewer line under the Old Otay Mesa Road and end at a connection with the San Ysidro Interceptor Sewer under Via de San Ysidro. The total pipe length for Phase I (0.48 mile), Phase II (0.95 mile), and Phase III (1.28 miles) is approximately 2.71 miles. Applicant: City of San Diego, Metropolitan Wastewater Department (MWWD).

This recommended finding that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment is based on the determination that a.) There are no new significant environmental impacts not considered in the previous EIR; b.)
