NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for Central Avenue Drainage Improvements; Activity No. IC4001 (RFB 40097).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on December 18, 2003, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $16.00 (including tax) per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11 (MS032), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. Make check payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Full size plans may be obtained at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, referenced above, at an additional cost of $0.50 per sheet (including tax). Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. Full-size plans will contain only the revisions made to the plans at the time of issuance. Only revised reduced plans will be issued as necessary with addenda. Mail services for full size plans are available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30-mile radium of the County Operations Center at an additional cost of $3.50 per set. Contract documents will be available for review and/or purchase on Wednesday 11/26/03. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. Cost estimate is $150,000-$200,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. The County of San Diego, as a matter of policy, encourages the participation of disabled veteran owned businesses. DVBE firms may be found on the web site at
