The San Diego Harbor Police, a division of the Unified Port District of San Diego, in accordance with Section 526 of the Harbors and Navigation Code, hereby gives notice of intention to destroy the following unclaimed, unregistered vessel.
1) 10? blue/white, fiberglass boat
Vessel was adrift near Bouy #22,

Vessel stored at Harbor Police Dock

Per 523(a)(5) H&N Hazard to navigation

Notice is hereby given that the Purchasing Department, First Floor, of the San Diego Unified Port District will receive sealed bids at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, until 2:00 P.M. on the 5th day of March 2003 for:
Spec. No. 2002-35 - Drawing No. 2034
DEMOLISH GENERAL SERVICES
BUILDINGS, 825 EAST HARBOR DRIVE
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

The project includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of structures identified in the drawings as General Services Buildings including related improvement and utilities. The structures identified for demolition are known to contain hazardous materials including, but not limited to, asbestos, PCBs, and lead based paints. In addition, the site is located over an old City of San Diego burn dump and the soil is known to be contaminated.
All components, equipment, pipelines, attached appurtenances, and utilities within and attached to the exterior of the structures listed above shall be demolished and removed from Tidelands unless directed otherwise. All structures shall be cut off or disconnected at the existing finished pavement surface unless directed otherwise.
The work is located at the District?s General Service Facility, 825 East Harbor Drive, San Diego, California.

It is intended that the work be completed in every respect under the Contract, and such items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Contract documents shall be furnished, performed, placed, constructed, or installed by the Contractor.
The magnitude of this work is in the range of $200,000.00 to $250,000.00.
The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, Classification A or C-21 at the time the contract is submitted.
Bids will be opened in public at or about that hour at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, all as more particularly contained in Document No. 44750 on file in the office of the Clerk of said District. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the date set for the opening of bids.
A mandatory pre-bid conference and mandatory job-walk will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on February 25, 2003 at the project site, 825 East Harbor Drive, San Diego, California. Representatives from firms who attended the mandatory pre-bid conference and job-walk on October 8, 2002 are not required to attend the second pre-bid conference and job-walk.
Plans and specifications are available for download on Port of San Diego website, www.portofsandiego.org. Plans and specifications may also be purchased for $10:00 per each set on or after September 20, 2002, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding District holidays, from the Purchasing Department, San Diego Unified Port District, P.O. Box 120488, San Diego, CA 92112-0488, or picked up in person at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, Telephone Number (619) 686-6320. Shipment of plans and specifications by Federal Express is available at Bidder's expense (please provide a completed airbill with your request). The purchase price and cost of shipment are not refundable. One set of plans and specifications will be made available by the District to local plan file services.
It is the policy of the San Diego Unified Port District that certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of District contracts. The DBE participation goal for this proposal/bid/quote is eleven percent (11%).
In the public interest, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
