FY 2013 CDBG Entitlement Proposed Funding Recommendations
The City of San Diego is expecting a 21% reduction from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the FY 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement which is estimated to be $10,703,022. In addition, to the CDBG Entitlement funds, the Redevelopment Agency's Repayment of $3,842,200 to the program will be used to fund eligible projects and programs approved for CDBG funding. This represents an estimated total of $14,545,222 of CDBG funding available for the FY 2013 allocation process.
Notice is hereby given that a Consolidated Plan Advisory Board meeting has been scheduled to discuss and make funding recommendations for FY 2013 CDBG applications. These recommendations are to be presented to the City Council on a future date. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 8:00am and will be continued on to Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 8:00 am in the North Terrace Rooms, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92101.

PLEASE ACCEPT THIS AS A NOTICE TO INFORM YOU, as a property owner, tenant or interested citizen, that the Council of The City of San Diego, California will conduct a public hearing, as part of a scheduled City Council meeting, on the following project:
Matter of approving, conditionally approving, or denying an Amendment to Conditional Use Permit No. 301798, previously approved by the City Council on April 04, 2006 and a subsequent Substantial Conformance Review in 2006. The project as originally approved allowed the continued use of the Salvation Army Door of Hope Facility (uses included child care, programs for children, adolescent mothers, seniors and homeless families, residential care facility, intermediate care and nursing facility and, transitional housing), and, the proposed construction of 41, for rent affordable apartment units and accessory improvements. The site is located at 2799 Health Center Drive in the RM-4-10 Zone.
The current amendment is to modify two permit conditions of the 2006 approval (condition nos. 11 and 12) to allow payment of the Affordable Housing Requirements of the City's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance in-lieu fee, rather than provide 20 percent of the units on site for occupancy by and at rents affordable to households earning no more than 65 percent AMI to meet these requirements, pursuant to an agreement with the San Diego Housing Commission. The Municipal Code allows this option for development projects. The project as previously approved, remains unchanged.
The Planning Commission is not required to make a recommendation on this project.The decision of the City Council is final.
This item may begin at any time after the time specified. Any interested person may address the City Council to express support or opposition to this issue. Time allotted to each speaker is determined by the Chair and, in general, is limited to three (3) minutes;

The City of San Diego (City) is requesting proposals from highly qualified environmental firms for consultant services for two As-Needed Environmental Planning Services contracts (H125700 & H125701).
It is the policy of the City to provide equal opportunity in its environmental professional services contracts.
