Plan Amendment [GPA 12-012]
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The County of San Diego Planning & Development Services proposes a General Plan Amendment (GPA) and Rezone to facilitate the proposed changes associated with the Property Specific Requests (NM16, RM15, SD2, & SV17) General Plan Amendment. Following the adoption of the General Plan Update in 2011, the Board of Supervisors (Board) held a series of workshop hearings in 2012 to review property specific requests (PSRs) that had arisen during public testimony on the General Plan Update and for which the requested Land Use designations were not included in the adopted General Plan. As a result of those 2012 workshop hearings, 47 PSRs were chosen by the Board to be included in County-initiated GPAs. The 47 PSRs were split between two GPAs. This project constitutes the first PSR GPA and includes proposed changes to the Land Use Map for four PSRs, and the associated Rezone that includes proposed zoning changes that are necessary for consistency with the proposed Land Use Map changes.
Properties affected by this project are located in the unincorporated part of the County of San Diego. The proposed GPA and zoning reclassifications can be viewed at:
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The project will rely on the previously certified Environmental Impact Report for the County of San Diego General Plan Update, certified August 3, 2011 (ER 02-ZA-001; SCH 2002111067), and Addendum thereto, dated March 7, 2014, on file with PDS as Environmental Review Number 13-00-003.
