Notice Inviting Demolition Bids
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Community Development Commission of the City of National City (CDC) will receive sealed bids for the demolition of structures and other related improvements located at 2123 Harrison Ave, National City, California.
Minimum wage rates shall be paid under this contract for each craft as established by the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California, pursuant to the requirements of Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1, 1773.6 of the California Labor Code and the City?s resolution No. 12407 adopting these rates for Public Works Contracts. All work shall be performed in accordance with the standard specification for Public works Construction, 1997 edition, and the Regional Supplemental Amendments (1997) and these Special Provisions, unless otherwise specified.
The CDC hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
No proposal will be accepted from a bidder who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of Business and Professions Code of the State of California. A C-21 Contractor?s License is required.
Each sealed bid must be submitted to the CDC office, located at 140 E. 12th Street, Suite B, National City, CA, 91950. Prior to the closing time of 3:00pm on February 20, 2003 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the CDC conference room. Copies of the bid documents can be obtained at the CDC office or by calling Sonia Valdez or Alice Cano at (619) 336-4250 and on the National City website www.ci.national-city.ca.us. The CDC reserves the right to waive and informality in the bidding and reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
